What's the role?
The Downstream Manufacturing site at Moerdijk makes chemical products made from petroleum and is one of the largest chemical sites in the Netherlands and Europe. It's a key strategic site which includes a Naphtha cracker complex, two Styrene/Propylene Oxide plants, an Ethylene Oxide and derivatives plant, utilities, and general facilities. The site employs around 830 Shell staff and 500 contract staff.

To realise this goal we're focused on combining excellent craftsmanship and operational excellence to help us make sustainable changes to our ways of working. And that's why we are now looking for a Senior Inspection Engineer to help us achieve this vision.
What will you do?
You will monitor and watch over the integrity and operational availability of several plant units or off-plot pipelines. You'll make sure that all parties are responsible for corrective activities. This will include things like the planning and execution of inspections, the maintenance of technical data in our inspection data management system, and the building and maintenance of a risk based inspection strategy.

You will also:
Guard the technical integrity and operational availability relating to plant changes and projects, the analysis of trend data, and the preparation of inspection plans for approval of senior inspectors
Actively promote and exercise safety interventions in the field. You'll also make sure that these are in line with prevailing regulatory and Shell (Netherlands) requirements. You'll also suggest fit-for-purpose solutions to achieve safety and reliability goals
Deliver team Health & Safety Executive (HSE) performance in line with business performance targets
Maintain state-of-the-art professional skills and the expertise required to perform the role. This will include things like growing a deep understanding of relevant rules, regulations and standards. You will also communicate this knowledge to relevant internal and external partners
Contribute to the site initiatives to enhance process safety, reliability and equipment integrity (GAME). To reduce costs (LEAN/Belt), and implement improvements at turnarounds

REQUIREMENTS:       
Have knowledge of refining and/or chemical processes & process technology and an understanding of construction projects
Show great technical and problem solving skills in inspection, metallurgy, corrosion, welding, and hydrocarbon processing
Speak fluent Dutch and have good written and spoken English
Be a 'self-starter' and have a practical and hands-on approach. You'll also have a constant focus on solutions and reaching goals
Be the type of person who can meet challenging deadlines in a busy environment and who can use your initiative and independence to deliver results

An important activity within Lubricants Technology is the successful delivery of the Lubricants technology programs to help grow the business, including R&D/TS programmes.
The senior technology Project Leader, a member of the global technology teams, plans and drives the globally agreed and approved R&D and TS projects so that they are delivered on time, in scope and on budget. The role also includes managing a wide range of technical services and any ad-hoc technical service requests and business development requests from the business in AP region.

REQUIREMENTS:
Research science or engineering background, chemistry preferred
Over 8 year working experience in lubricants technology development and services
In depth technical knowledge in related product formulation , application knowledge and performance claims
Proven team working, inter-personal, networking and communication skills, preferably in a virtual environment
Technical knowledge of lubricant additives as well as base oils
Track record of working with supply chain, sales/ marketing, OEMs, addcos, and external stakeholders in a virtual way
Proven record of delivery, with evidence of drive and creativity coupled with a structured and disciplined approach to project management
Familiar with product manufacturing process & quality control technique ;
Excellent report writing skills desirable
Strong English language (spoken/written) capability.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support Logistics Supervisor in managing the day-to-day activity of all 3rd Party logistics vendor
Managed Lubes Warehouses of all packed /bulk lubricants (including greases) and road transport/delivery to customer.
Activities begin from receipt of finished products from production into warehouse, storage and warehousing management, product picking and dispatching, loading onto transport medium, and vehicle safety management until customer receipt.
Ensure the efficient management of warehouse and transport activities to meet agreed customer service levels in a manner that is safe, cost effective the right quality and right quantity.
Ensuring the follow up of any existed HSSE gaps closure.

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree from a reputable university, preferably degrees holder in logistics or supply chain discipline
Min 5 Years of Experience in Logistics management.
This position would generally require a sound working knowledge in lubes supply chain, preferably with experience in logistics warehousing and distribution of packed and bulk product and with a strong drive to satisfy customer needs.
Demonstrated ability to engage, train, coach staff at peer level.
Strong team-working & interpersonal skills to be able to drive interactions end to end along the processes.
Exposure to consumer based logistics chain would be an advantage.
Ability to respond appropriately to immediate situations would be essential.
Sound interpersonal/influencing skills would also be required with respect to internal/external customers and external organizations.
